Followed by a circular letter "To the friends of liberty and trade, of the city and county of New-York ... The committee of the association. New York, December 4, 1773" and "A letter from the country, to a gentleman in Philadelphia," urging citizens to "beware of the East-India Company;" signed: Rusticus. Fairview, Nov. 27, 1773. The Rusticus letter, which was also issued separately as a broadside, is attributed to John Dickinson
