Two Cambodian immigrants in Long Beach, Calif. are arrested in 1989, and tried on charges of animal cruelty for killing a dog for food. The result is the passage of a law in California prohibiting the killing and eating of animals generally regarded as pets (e.g. dogs, cats). This whole issue of eating animals generally regarded as pets, such as dogs or cats, a common custom in many Asian countries, is examined in this DVD
