The existence of a relationship between being a full time bachelor's or master's degree student and self-perceived workplace performance was examined in this quantitative correlational study. Nontraditional degree program students were surveyed, and the data were used to define the correlations between workplace performance and full time student status. Findings included a correlation between quality of professional output and time spent on schoolwork while at the student/employees' place of business, and a correlation between post education employment plans and quality of professional output. Managers and human resource personnel will be helped by the data from this study when addressing the difficult task of policy development pertaining to employees who desire to go back to school as full time students through nontraditional degree programs
