Communities are comprised of many important members including residents, associations, churches, governments and businesses. Each member plays a significant role and positively or negatively impacts the other members of the system. Corporate Community Relations is the art of business existing within a community
Corporate Community Relations addresses the role that business plays within a community including philanthropy, donations, environmental stewardship, employment, public relations, volunteerism and marketing. This thesis will look specifically at a case study involving Capilano Suspension Bridge and the community within which it operates. Research participants were invited to identify the current role that Capilano Suspension Bridge plays in the community, the expectations of the community and how Capilano can become a leader in the community. Based on the data compiled, a Community Relations Plan was identified as a viable business strategy that will improve Capilano's leadership position in the community
