In a case study of an office supply company's online help system, I studied why users avoid using online help systems. To research this subject, I conducted a focus group with some of the company's employees, interviewed the creator of the online help system and analyzed how the online help system follows established principles of usability and user-centered design. I discovered that to create an online help system users find usable and helpful, the creators of the online help system need to include users in its design, create a training module for the system and encourage expert help sources to use the online help system
