Little is known about the leadership practices and behaviors of the building leaders of dropout recovery schools and how these behaviors correlate with the ability of their student population to pass state-required standardized tests. This study analyzed the responses of 8 building leaders of dropout recovery schools regarding their leadership behaviors. In order to analyze and examine these behaviors, building leaders were surveyed using the Leadership Behavior Description Questionnaire -- Form XII (LBDQ-Form XII). These responses were then compared to the passage rate of their students on the Ohio Graduation Test. The Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) is the standardized assessment used by the state of Ohio to meet the adequate yearly progress requirements established by NCLB . The results of this study showed that there is no direct correlation between leadership behavior and performance on the OGT as a whole. However, data from the study also showed that there was some correlation between leadership behavior and certain parts of the OGT
