520 Today's students must be prepared to deal with a world
that may not always be dependent on traditional fuels. To
adequately address these future problems students will
need to be prepared to solve real life problems. This
unit provided students with the unique opportunity to
learn about alternative energy while solving engineering
problems. The research reported in this document
highlights an Alternative Energy curriculum taught using
problem based learning coupled with hands on activities
